Prior to joining NCPC-SA, Lee-Hendor worked as an Enterprise Development Specialist at the CSIR Enterprise Creation for Development (ECD). Other positions he has held include Local Economic Development (LED) Regional Manager at the Department of Economic Development and Tourism (Western Cape) and, LED/IDP Project Implementation Officer at Theewaterskloof Municipality.
Lee-Hendor has a Bachelor of Arts in Development and Environmental Studies, and also completed his BPhil degree in Sustainable Development Planning wtih the Sustainability Institute, at the University of Stellenbosch. He is currently completing a Masters in Development Finance at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
In 2013, he was selected as one of four NCPC-SA project managers to participate in an international Human Capital Development (HCD) programme aimed at building organisational capacity in NCPCs from nine developing nations, being run by German development agency, GIZ on behalf of the UN’s global RECP network, RECPnet. Subsequent to his participation in the programme's Face2Face workshop that was held in Germany early in 2014, he was selected to act as a Peer Coach to a group of five NCPCs for the 2014 HCD programme.
