Operational effect of Coronavirus on the NCPC-SA

The current national state of disaster around COVID-19, or coronavirus, has necessitated a number of extraordinary measures in all spheres of life and business. As a CSIR programme, and in line with government guidelines, the NCPC-SA will have a number of operational limitations.

The 21-day nationwide lockdown from 27 March to 16 April 2020, means that our teams will be either working from home where possible, or on special leave.   We apologize if telephone lines remain unanswered. Please liaise with us via email and on mobile phones.

Because of this, there are also no NCPC-SA training courses scheduled for the immediate future. The dates for our 2020/21 training calendar will be communicated once we have new dates confirmed.

The management of CSIR and the management team of the NCPC-SA will be closely monitoring the situation and will communicate changes as they arise. The NCPC-SA remains committed to its mandate to supporting industry and delivering on its obligations to stakeholders.

From all of us at the NCPC-SA, all the best and may we find new and innovative ways to be productive in our transition to a low carbon, sustainable and resilient economy.
