Workshop invitation - KwaZulu Natal Industrial Symbiosis Programme

Connecting industry, creating opportunity  
 
The National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA) is inviting industrial companies and interested stakeholders to a workshop on the KwaZulu Natal Industrial Symbiosis Programme (KISP).
 
Industrial symbiosis is a resource efficiency approach where unused or residual resources (materials, energy, water, waste, assets, logistics, expertise, etc) of one company are used by another. This results in mutual economic, social and environmental benefits.

 

The workshop programme will include discussions on:
 

  • An introduction to the industrial symbiosis approach and benefits of attending the business opportunity workshops
  • Resource savings through diverting industrial waste away from landfill, savings on virgin material and water 
  • Exploring new innovations for wasted or difficult resources
  • Case studies of member companies
  • Details of planned KISP business opportunity workshops, and how to register (membership is free)
