Limpopo Government to launch Industrial Symbiosis Programme Featured

The Limpopo Provincial Government, in collaboration with the National Cleaner Production Centre South Africa, will officially launch the Limpopo Industrial Symbiosis Programme on Thursday 25 April 2019, in Musina, Limpopo.

The Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) department aims to drive zero-waste transformation of industries in the province through the Limpopo Industrial Symbiosis Programme.  

Industrial symbiosis is a resource efficient approach, where unused or residual resources (material, energy, water, assets and logistics) of one company are used by another.

The NCPC-SA currently also implements industrial symbiosis programmes in three other provinces: Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal and Mpumalanga.
