Wendy da Cruz is an Energy management Systems expert and facilitator, as well as a facilitator of the ISO 50001 lead auditor training course, the content of which she assisted to develop. 
Albert Williams is an Energy Systems Optimisation (ESO) engineer at Energy Cybernetics, Pretoria.  During his 9 years of experience he has been involved in about 80 energy management, optimisation, audit, and assessment projects for mining, industrial, and commercial clients; both locally and internationally.
Over the past 17 years Reinet van Zyl has gained experience in various environments within the steel industry.  As operational manager for the steel making department he was responsible for production, maintenance, development and SHERQ.
Clemens Brandt gathered his work experience in over 20 years in the metals machinery industry and in refrigeration. In 2011, he established his own company, RED Engineering, specialising in energy consulting and the design, engineering and installation of renewable energy systems, specifically solar PV.
Nadia Sanetra is currently employed at Distell, South Africa’s leading producer and marketer of fine wines, spirits, ciders and ready-to-drinks (RTD’s). Her current role within the environmental sustainability team involves working closely with production sites to better manage resources (energy, water) and spreading the message of sustainability in the company.  
Johan Pienaar has 12 years’ experience in energy, renewable energy, electrical and process engineering. As a consultant, his expertise lies in project design, management and implementation.
Jerusha Joseph is a mechanical engineer employed by Airports Company South Africa since 2009. She is working on her  PhD in Mechanical Engineering, investigating Energy Efficiency in Developing Countries.
 
Arden Wessels has worked in the manufacturing sector for over 20 years with experience in a wide range of production and utility processes. 
Richard Simango’s industrial experience includes proven high-level knowledge in technical and business functions in minerals processing, bottled and flat glass processes, glass wool and insulation processes, gas fired and electrical systems, utilities management, environmental process engineering, plant design and collaborative research, high level of technical knowledge and involvement in energy management and plant utilities management in manufacturing plants.  
David Mercer has a technical background in energy engineering and has over 20 years experience in energy consulting in the industrial, commercial and civil sectors. He has led pioneering strategic work for several international clients, including large-scale energy management projects and providing governmental policy advice.
Gunter is a retired chemical engineer, and is still registered as a Professional Engineer. He has spent many years in the metallurgical industries, evaluating, monitoring and optimising systems and processes using a wide range of statistical techniques.

Darryl Chapman started his professional career with Eskom in 1995. He initially started out in high voltage electrical engineering research and obtained his MSc (Eng) with a dissertation on electrical earthing (grounding) in 2000.

Sydney Naidoo is the Principal Member of SNA Consulting Electrical Engineers.  He is a registered Professional Engineering Technologist in terms of the Engineering Council of South Africa.

Thembi Kodisang has worked as project manager in the Automotives sector at the NCPC-SA since July 2011 and has been instrumental in forging mutually beneficial relationships with the sector organisations, primarily the AIDC in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape. In the past three years she has supported the automotive industry in its enthusiastic adoption and implementation of RECP, in particular energy efficiency interventions.

IEE Project National Project Manager 

Alf Hartzenburg has almost 40 years of industry experience. He studied Civil Engineering at UCT and holds Diplomas in Textiles, Production Management, Business Administration and Financial Management. He is also one of five UN EU Green Flower Ecolabel trainers in South Africa.

Moses Motaung has 6 years experience as the manufacturing engineering manager in Automotive Component Manufacturing.
John Tonkin sees his 44th year in engineering in 2014. Initially he had exposure to plant maintenance (steam, water, pneumatics, ash handling, boilers, turbines and pumping systems) and marine steam plants.
Egmont Ottermann is a professional chemical engineer and certified energy manager and has focused on energy, alternative fuels and environmental engineering in the cement industry for the past 13 years.
Sheldon Bode is currently an Environmental Engineer at Toyota South Africa where he has been involved in Energy Reduction projects and Energy Management systems for over 5 years now.  He has been able to successfully implement a wide variety of energy reduction solutions.  These include, but not limited to, compressed air, steam, pumping, lighting, water heating and HVAC systems.  
Pooben Naidoo worked for Eskom, the national electricity utility, in Durban Distribution as an Assistant Engineer, before joining Eskom Peaking Generation at the Drakensberg Pumped Storage Scheme in 1996. He resigned from Eskom to take up a position as the Company Engineer at Feltex Automotive in 2011.
Koos Bouwer is a consulting engineer in the field of industrial engineering. Over the period of 10 years, most of his contributions were about the optimization of the supply chain, including information flows, facility lay-out and concept design, operational procedures and material handling.

Gavin Graham is qualified as an Energy Management Systems (EnMS) Implementation expert and has been part of setting up Energy Management Systems compliant with ISO 50 001 in two South African Companies.

Denis van Es has over 40 years technical and managerial experience in mechanical services and energy management within South Africa, continental Africa and the UK.  He is a member of the SABS technical committee working on ISO 50 000 and is qualified at expert level in Energy Management System Implementation (EnMS), as well as undertaking a peer review at expert level of Fan System Optimisation (FSO) training material.

Martin Viljoen is currently the Facilities Plant Engineer at the South African manufacturing plant of a leading multinational confectionery and snacking manufacturer. He is registered with ECSA as a professional engineer (mechanical). He is registered with the Association of Energy Engineers, the American-based world authority on energy engineering.

The energy efficiency experts trained by the NCPC-SA and UNIDO through the IEE Project are internationally certified by UNIDO in their area of expertise.

These experts have undergone thorough training and rigorous testing to equip them to support industry in energy management systems and energy systems optimisation. 

Many of these specialist individuals are available to assist industry to implement effective energy and cost-saving interventions.
