Toyota Boshoku SA (Pty) Ltd (TBSA) is a subsidiary of Toyota Boshoku Group, based in Japan. TBSA manufactures car seats and door panels for Toyota South Africa Motors, and is based in Umbogintwini, KwaZulu Natal. The plant comprises one large building which houses the entire operation.
Tenneco Automotive is an international automotive supplier with more than 90 production facilities worldwide. Two of these are located close to the automotive hub in Port Elizabeth. Tenneco South Africa joined the IEE Project as a host plant for EnMS expert level training and showcased the implementation of ISO 50001 energy management system (EnMS).
King Shaka International Airport (KSIA) in Durban, KwaZulu Natal is the first green field airport under Airports Company South Africa in over 50 years. It was opened on 1 May 2010. KSIA uses vast amounts of electricity and, since it was was opened, there has been a consistent effort to save energy, specifically by reducing the demand for electricity for lighting and air-conditioning.
